Welcome to The Game Composer’s new blog! My name is Matt Sayre and I’ve been composing game music for about 8 years now. I’ve been meaning to write about my experiences for some time now as the industry is always full of surprises and other composers and game developers may find some of my experiences useful. I’ve learned a lot in my career and I’m always learning new things so I hope I’ll remember to post some of what I’ve learned on this blog.

I’m not going to link to this blog from my main site, thegamecomposer.com , or market the blog until I’ve established a steady pattern of posting and I feel it’s got some use for other people. I plan to keep on the topic of game music but I will feel free to sometimes talk about music or even life in general. We’ll see what happens!
